Gennady Brutzki was raised in a Christian home, and at 21 he made his own profession of faith. He was baptized in a Minsk church.

In 1992, Gennady graduated from the Minsk Bible Institute, and continued his theological education at the International Bible Institute in Austria. Along the way, he also earned a law degree.

Since his ordination in 1994, Gennady has served as the senior pastor of Baptist churches in Minsk and the surrounding region. During the 1990s, when Belarus temporarily enjoyed more freedom of religion, he was the head of a missionary ministry. Under his leadership, more than 40 new churches were planted!

Pastor Brutzki has participated in two of CJFM’s tours to Israel, and served as our partner for the August 2009 Belarus Conference on Israel. His commitment to the Lord, great love for the Jewish people, and proven leadership skills make him the ideal choice to lead our work in the CIS.

Currently, Pastor Brutzki’s team focuses their efforts in four Belarus cities, but it is their prayer (and ours) that many other Jewish people throughout Belarus and the CIS will hear and receive the Good News of Yeshua HaMashiach.

Gennady and his wife Natalia have four children.
