The Ohio State University

Ohio State University (OSU) is the largest campus in the country (60,000 students). Eric is the director of Ratio Christi, a nationwide apologetics ministry at OSU. Ratio Christi seeks to encourage and strengthen the faith of students at secular institutions across the country through the use of intellectual investigation and apologetics—while also sharing the Messiah’s message and love to those that have yet to receive it. Eric believes that many of us in the Body of Messiah have failed to address the pressing questions of worldview, science, philosophy, history, etc. Situating these apologetic chapters at universities across the country is an important step in reversing the skepticism that permeates most educational institutions. In his weekly meetings, Eric equips students to engage the campus on a regular basis.

Evangelism

During his time on the OSU campus, and when he does street ministry in downtown Columbus (during OSU's summer break), Eric will have a quality conversation with over 500 people a year about the Lord. A quality conversation is one where Eric has a chance to give a clear presentation of the Gospel and/or will answer any questions that a person has. This outreach also includes track distribution, giving out free books, Bibles, and following up with any emails.

Jewish Outreach

Eric is the co-advisor of Shoresh, a student organization on the OSU campus. Shoresh conducts weekly Bible studies and conducts one-on-one spiritual surveys with Jewish students on campus. There are over 4,000 Jewish students on the OSU campus.
