This coming September I will celebrate 25 years of pastoring and preaching. That is quite remarkable for someone who is only 29!
As I rapidly approach that milestone, there are moments that I pause and reflect on things that I have learned in the last quarter of a century that I was not taught in Bible College.
I share one of those today. I will call it “the watermelon principle.”
Discouragement is going to come your way. That’s a given. If you are a member of the human race, you either are discouraged, have been discouraged, or will be discouraged.
I’m not being a pessimist. I’m being a realist. This is life.
