Richard's Bio
Richard Toviah was born and raised in Canada. Richard was always searching for answers and, as a result, he got involved in the occult in his early teenage years, heavily influenced by his father.

On a day that only God could have orchestrated, Richard’s father found a book, entitled The Late Great Planet Earth, which someone had left in his taxicab and gave it to his son. In the book, Hal Lindsey claimed that Jesus is the Messiah, fulfilling many prophecies in the Older Covenant and that God wasn’t finished with His Chosen people. This led Richard on a quest to prove, or rather disprove, what the Bible taught. He bought a used Bible and began an intensive comparative study. But he found something completely unexpected; both the deity and humanity of Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah and Savior for Israel and the nations, were revealed to him. He even began to see the Bible, itself, as a miracle. During Passover in 1985, Richard, then 20, prayed to receive Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) as his Lord and Savior.

Richard has been serving the Lord as a full-time missionary for CJF Ministries since 2002. His ministry includes teaching a monthly Bible study to prison inmates, sharing the Good News on college campuses, tract distribution, street evangelism, and door-to-door visits in Jewish communities. He also teaches the Jewish perspective of God’s Word in churches, including Messiah in the Passover, the Feasts of Israel, Israel in Prophecy, The Jewish Wedding, and the Jewish Roots of Christianity.

Richard resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife, Gabriela, daughter Rachel and son David.
