Gideon's Bio
Gideon Levytam was born in Jerusalem on May 14, 1955, seven years to the day after the founding of the modern State of Israel. His ancestors were from the Tribe of Levi, and his grandparents immigrated to the land of Israel from Yemen and from Greece in the late 1800s.

Gideon served in the Israeli army and fought in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. In 1980, he came to faith in his Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) as a result of his study of a Berit HaChadashah (Hebrew New Testament) and the Tenach (Hebrew Old Testament) that a family member obtained from Dr. Charles Halff, the founder of CJF Ministries.

Gideon now serves as CJF Ministries Director of International Ministry and co-hosts CJFM’s tours to Israel. He lives in Ontario with his wife, Irene, and their sons.
