Time is running out for you to sign up for our Four Seas Tour to Israel! The tour runs March 8-20 and is led by our Director of International Ministries, and native Israeli, Gideon Levytam. You can find out more information on our website. https://www.cjfm.org/4seasLive the Land Tour
If you're a college student or young professional, we have a tour designed specifically for you. Our Live the Land tour gives the “college and career” crowd a fresh and unique perspective of the Land of Israel, the Bible, God’s promises to His people, and the Jewish roots of our faith. Through pilgrimage, you’ll connect with the Land and the people. Bible study, history, discussions, touring, and activities will create an atmosphere of growth, fellowship, and learning that will give you a deeper understanding of God’s Word and His plans for you as a follower of Jesus. You’ve studied the Scriptures-now live them. Visit the Live the Land website for more information.Messianic Perspectives
Our editors, designers, and writers are currently putting the finishing touches on our next issue of Messianic Perspectives—our bimonthly paper. This is an issue you won't want to miss! A warning for everyone using a PC. There's a new worm attack spreading rapidly throughout the Internet. A link to the article is below. LinkA New Leader
The United States has a new president today. Isn't it an interesting feeling? There is so much emotion in the air today. Despite the differences we believers may have, the Bible instructs us to pray for our leaders (1 Timothy 2:2) so that "we may lead quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." The new president will need strength and guidance as he leads this nation. I know that when I face a difficult situation I turn to Proverbs 3:5-6. May the peace that only our Lord and Savior Yeshua can bring be with President Obama.Miracle on the Hudson, IDF Video, Protect your computer
I'm sure you've heard by now, but late this afternoon a US Airways flight went down in the Hudson River after it took off from New York's LaGuardia airport. I watched some of the coverage online and grabbed a screenshot of an image showing a large number of people on the wings of the plane. I'll also attach a link to the news story below. A quick recap of the week . . .
Dr. Gary Hedrick's article in the January-February issue of Messianic Perspectives talks about "Heaven on Earth". Here is an excerpt. Many of us have been conditioned to think that when we die, our bodies go into the ground and our spirits float away to a place somewhere in the clouds where we spend eternity in white gowns, strumming on harps, and singing hymns. Does that sound boring to you? If so, you’ll be glad to know that while it’s partly true, it’s really not the whole story. According to Scripture, Paradise will be restored right here on earth—and it’s going to be a busy place for at least a thousand years! It's quite an insightful article that may challenge your current view of Heaven! If you don't receive our bimonthly paper, Messianic Perspectives, subscribe today!
You can also view a downloadable pdf version of the paper on our website. We launched a new Israel News webpage so that we can give you information as we receive it from our workers in Israel. A new radio series by Dr. Gary Hedrick started Thursday on The Sin Unto Death. In this series Dr. Hedrick discusses the offense that results in death mentioned in 1 John 5:16. You can purchase this series by going to MessianicSpecialties.com.
You're stressed. Play tetrus? Twitter. New on cjfm.org
Researchers in the UK say that playing Tetrus can help reduce the effects of traumatic stress. I have to agree. Except I'd like to add another game to the list—Brick Breaker. I'm one of the few people who hasn't purchased an iPhone yet, so those of you with a Blackberry know what I'm talking about. Just got in an accident and you're waiting on the police to arrive? Play Brick Breaker. Many of you are on Twitter. I just signed up myself. I lead a group of creative people and I find this ingenious piece of software brilliant. I don't even need a time clock to know what people are doing! Well, not so fast. Looks like 33 people had their Twitter accounts hacked. Who was among those 33? Well, US President-elect Barack Obama and CNN anchor Rick Sanchez. I just posted a new ministry update from Rob Styler. Also, be sure to check out the cjfm.org website tomorrow evening. We plan on posting special interview with Ruth Nessim from Israel.Stuff you won't see on CNN
If you haven't read Ruth Nessim's (CJFM Rep-Israel) most recent ministry report I strongly encourage you to check it out. I'm sure you've been following the recent events in Israel and Gaza. Seems like that's all I've been seeing on the TV and the Internet. What you won't see is what's happening with CJF Ministries in Israel. So, I created a webpage devoted to letting you know what's going on in Israel with our workers along with some news feeds and some videos I thought were interesting. You can visit the page by going to cjfm.org/israel. There's a video you won't want to miss about a Palestinian baby from Gaza who was recently brought to Israel for heart surgery.Subscribe
